Peptide Replacement Therapy

How energetic and youthful a person feels often has more to do with the condition of their body on the cellular level. Nearly all of your body gets constructed from proteins, which bind together with peptides. You can think of peptides as a bridge which chains together protein groups, leading to hormones getting released as needed for normal body functions. As you age, peptides aren’t as potent as they used to be, meaning that hormones become less effective in the process. Peptide therapy already gets used in treating some degenerative diseases, and New Age Health and Wellness offers it to patients as well. By targeting specific proteins, such as collagen, and building stronger bonds, we can help your body work efficiently once more. If you have discovered a significant change in your appearance, or you just don’t seem like yourself recently, then we may be able to help you with peptide treatments. Call us today to learn more about what we can do to combat your symptoms of aging.

Do Peptide Treatments Work?

If you have ever gotten a prescription to combat a specific ailment, then you have already enjoyed the benefits of peptide treatments. Although our process uses a different methodology, the science behind it remains the same. Your body needs a specific group of proteins to trigger the release of particular hormones, so you use medicine to make it happen. Peptide Replacement Therapy is already an effective tool in autoimmune diseases, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and more conditions. In general, diseases and symptoms occur as a result of a change in natural chemicals from within your body, which gets produced and released as needed. By using the right mix of compounds, you can tip the scale back to a chemically balanced body once again. Some studies suggest that eventually, peptide therapy will be beneficial for conditions such as Parkinson’s. Today, we can treat a variety of ailments with advanced.

How Does it Work?

Have you ever wondered why you seemingly stopped growing once you finished puberty? After a while, your body releases a hormone, somatostatin, which begins inhibiting new growth. While the good news is that you won’t have another growth spurt in your 40s, over time, it paves the way for most of your cells to start aging. By counterbalancing this natural process by mitigating it via replacement peptides, we can slow your signs of aging. Each session provides you with a burst of specific peptide groups, which promotes particular hormones to get released. As a result, your metabolism stops performing as sluggishly, and you start to feel like yourself again. We offer a variety of peptides to treat a variety of different areas that you need assistance with the most. Contact us now and hear more about what peptide therapy can do for you.

Ipamorelin Acetate

Ipamorelin Acetate is a Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide (GHRP) that stimulates the pituitary gland within the body to release natural growth hormone (GH).  Ipamorelin Acetate is a pentapeptide composed of five amino acids and has a biological half-life of 2 hours after administration. It is widely known for being able to suppress somatostatin or growth inhibiting hormone.

As we age, our hormone levels fluctuate interfering with patient’s overall quality of life. Imbalances can result in loss of energy, increased irritability, sleeplessness, memory problems, and low sex drive. Utilizing peptide therapy separately or in conjunction with hormone replacement may restore optimal hormone levels in your patients.  Studies suggest that Ipamorelin Acetate did not affect FSH, LH, Prolactin, or TSH levels. Furthermore, Ipamorelin did not seem to have an impact on cortisol and ACTH levels during GHRH stimulation.

Patient Benefits Over Time May Include:

  • Aid in the body’s ability to burn fat
  • Helps improve lean muscle mass
  • Supports immune system
  • Improved sex drive
  • Strengthened cardiovascular system
  • Improved quality of sleep
  • Improved energy and endurance
  • Supports bone density
  • Improved skin firmness and moisture retention
  • Improved cognition and memory

Sermorelin Therapy Can Help You Look and Feel Younger While Slowing the Aging Process

Sermorelin therapy will stimulate the pituitary gland to release your body’s natural growth hormone at more youthful levels. Sermorelin Plus+ This formula combines Sermorelin with GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 (growth hormone releasing peptides). These peptides work synergistically with Sermorelin to increase the frequency your body releases growth hormone, simulating natural, youthful hormone rhythms. Sermorelin/Theanine/GHRP-2 Theanine (an amino acid known to relieve anxiety) is combined with Sermorelin and GHRP-2 to promote calming effects, stress relief, and more restorative sleep along with more optimal growth hormone function.

THYMOSIN BETA-4

Thymosin is a hormone secreted from the thymus. Its primary function is to stimulate the production of T cells, which are an important part of the immune system. Thymosin also assists in the development of B cells to plasma cells to produce antibodies. The predominant form of Thymosin, Thymosin Beta 4, is a member of a highly conserved family of actin monomer-sequestering proteins. In addition to its role as a major actin-sequestering molecule, Thymosin Beta 4 plays a role in tissue repair. Tβ4 has been found to play an important role in protection, regeneration and remodeling of injured or damaged tissues. The gene for Tβ4 has also been found to be one of the first to be upregulated after injuries. Thymosin Beta 4 is currently being trialed as a potential therapy for HIV, AIDS, and Influenza. Thymosin Beta 4 is most often prescribed for acute injury, surgical repair and for senior athletes. It has most recently been shown to help regrow hair in addition to PRP.

AOD 9604

AOD 9604 is a modified form of amino acids 176-191 of the GH polypeptide.

Investigators at Monash University discovered that the fat-reducing effects of GH appear to be controlled by a small region near one end of the GH molecule. This region, which consists of amino acids 176-191, is less than 10% of the total size of the GH Molecule and appears to have no effects on growth or insulin resistance.

This hypothesis was proven in animals to a tremendous degree with specimen losing a significant amount of fat mass. However, in phase three clinical trials the peptide didn’t mean its confidence interval. Instead, it is now being studied for its effect on bone and cartilage.

AOD 9604 possesses many other regenerative properties associated with growth hormone. Currently trials are underway to show the application of AOD 9604 in osteoarthritis, Hypercholesterolemia, bone and cartilage repair. AOD 9604 has an excellent safety profile, recently obtaining Human GRAS status in the USA.

MELANOTAN II

Melanotan I and Melanotan II are both analogs of the peptide hormone alphamelanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) that induces skin tanning. Like its predecessor, Melanotan I, MT 2 plays a role in stimulating melanogenesis and thus provides a protective mechanism against UV rays since under its actions melanocytes are able to increase production and secretion of the hormone melanin. Scientists have also noticed that MT 2 had a positive effect on libido due to its aphrodisiac properties. Additionally, MT 2 exhibits a mild positive fat-mobilizing effect. Melanotan I is an FDA approved drug under the brand name Scenesse. Scenesse is most commonly used to treat patients that have an intolerance to light.

PT-141

What is PT-141 (Bremelanotide)?  PT-141 (Bremelanotide) was developed from the peptide Melanotan 2, which is a synthetically produced variant of a peptide hormone naturally produced in the body that stimulates melanogenesis that is known as alpha-Melanocyte stimulating hormone. PT-141 has been shown in studies to provide libido-enhancing effects by activating the melanocortin receptors MC1R and MC4R, without tanning the skin.

PT-141 is a potential remedy for the treatment of female sexual dysfunction and male erectile dysfunction. Studies have shown that PT-141 does not act on the vascular system, but may increase sexual desire through the nervous system. Patient Benefits Over Time May Include:

  • Improves female sexual arousal disorder
  • Improve sexual function in men (such as erectile dysfunction or impotence)

Typical Prescribing Protocol:

Male: Males with no history of ED may begin with 1mg via subcutaneous injection in the lower right quadrant of abdomen approximately 45 minutes prior to sexual activity (titrating dose upward to effect as needed or tolerated).  Males with a history or diagnosis of ED with inadequate response to Sildenafil 100mg may begin with 4mg via subcutaneous injection in the lower right quadrant of abdomen approximately 45 minutes prior to sexual activity (titrating dose upward to effects as needed or tolerated).

Female: Females with FSAD or HSDD may begin with 1mg via subcutaneous injection (titrating dose upward to effect as needed or tolerated).

CJC-1295

What is CJC-1295?  CJC-1295 is a tetrasubstituted 30-amino acid peptide hormone releasing hormone analog. It stimulates a release of HGH and IGF-1 without raising prolactin levels, leading to fat loss, and increased protein synthesis thereby helping growth. Our CJC-1295 is compounded without DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) because it provides a more effective GH spike in patients that resembles normal physiologic release of GH.

What is Ipamorelin and how is it Used with CJC-1295? Ipamorelin Acetate is a Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide (GHRP) that assists increasing the amount of Growth Hormone released. Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide composed of five amino acids and has a biological half-life of 2 hours after administration. It is widely known for being able to suppress somatostatin or Growth Hormone Inhibiting Hormone (GHIH). Using CJC-1295 in conjunction with Ipamorelin may be more effective in the production of growth hormone secretion, and in helping speed recovery time from an injury. Patient Benefits Over Time May Include:

  • Promotes slow wave sleep, stimulating muscle growth and memory retention
  • Promotes fat loss and lean body mass
  • Increases protein synthesis thereby promoting growth of muscle

Typical Prescribing Protocol: Dosing can significantly vary by patient, but it is commonly used at 300mcg via subcutaneous injection in the outer/upper buttock region once daily in the evening prior to sleep.

BPC-157

What is BPC-157? BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide made up of 15 amino acids. It is a partial sequence of the body protection compound (BPC) derived from human gastric juice. Experiments have shown that it heightens the healing of many different types of tissues, including: tendon, muscle, nervous system, and is superior at healing damaged ligaments.

Patients who suffer from discomfort due to sprains, tears, and tissue damage may benefit from treatment with this peptide as it can increase blood flow back to the injured sites. BPC-157 may protect organs, prevent stomach ulcers, and heal skin burns. Patient Benefits Over Time May Include:

  • Accelerated wound healing
  • Anti-inflammatory properties
  • May decrease pain in damaged areas

Typical Prescribing Protocol: Prescribing is often based on body weight using 2mcg/kg to as much as 10mcg/kg twice daily. Commonly used doses range from 200mcg to 400mcg twice daily (400mcg to 800mcg daily). If used twice daily, intramuscular injection as close to the injury as possible or via subcutaneously for systemic purposes.

Use for 2-4 weeks before discontinuing; cease therapy for 2 weeks, then restart therapy if needed.
